Drainage for portion of dual lane highway north of Miami, Fla, consists of gutter inlets with pipe connections to large sumps; spaced about 500 ft apart, sumps have precast concrete top but sidewalls and bottom are undisturbed porous reck which absorbs runoff quickly.
