Experimentation with conventional systems for trucks and truck-trailer combinations shows that operation can be speeded up and stopping distance cut by modifications; streamlining of piping, replacement of conventional couplings with industrial air couplings, and elimination of front wheel braking suggested. Combination of two papers, "Air Brake Designing, To Reduce Failures and Speed Up Action" and "Brake Troubles, Increase with Power Application." (See also - discussion p 343-4)
