Study of airfoils suitable for use as propeller shank sections; by utilizing pressure distribution data and Schlieren photographs of air flow, force characteristics and information concerning flow phenomena were obtained; test results for systematic variations of maximum thickness-to-chord ratios, as well as results for variation of chordwise location of maximum thickness are included.
