Three identical streamlined Diesel tugs, each powered by 1600-hp opposed piston Fairbanks Morse engine, have replaced four coal burning steam tugs and have taken over all handling of coal barges for Reading Company in New York; fleet handles coal barge delivery in 14 hr that formerly required 21 hr.
