Denny and Brothers, Dumbarton, for Southampton-Havre service of British railways, steamship has length of 309 ft, breadth 48 ft, depth 25 ft 6 in., gross tonnage 3543 tons; propelling machinery of Pametrada design consists of two sets of geared turbines with combined output of 8000 shp at 370 rpm; steam provided by two oil fired Foster Wheeler boilers at 350 psi pressure and 650 F at superheat outlet.
