Future developments in regard to fast transport in Glasgow would best proceed overhead and existing roads and streets should be reserved exclusively for pedestrian and slow moving vehicular traffic, including local street railroads; railroad increased capacity obtained by lines for fast traffic overhead above existing lines; controlled torpedo-shaped car of rigid construction suspended from overhead structure and guided by lower rail below suspension rail suggested.
