Public test of General Electric method of radio communication on trains made recently on 110-car freight train running over New York Central lines; by general use of this radio equipment, there would be material cutting down of delays to freight trains; equipment used on both locomotive and caboose sets is of simple structure and compact; power on locomotive is supplied from headlight generator; on caboose standard generator, driven by belt from axle, used to charge 32-volt storage battery.
