San Diego Electric Railway has developed methods of locating and correcting troubles reported by broadcast listeners; investigation leads to believe that commutation of motors and sparking at trolley wheel set up highly damped oscillations which are conveyed to trolley wires; power and telephone wires pick up this interference by induction and reradiate it; details of noise-reducing filter. Abstract of paper presented before Calif. Elec. Ry. Assn. (See also Elec. Ry. Jl vol. 72, no. 5, Aug. 4, 1928 pp. 193-194)
