Description of impact and recoil recorder for testing and recording behavior of airplane shock absorbers under conditions corresponding to actual use; device has been brought out by Aeronautical Engineering Co. of San Francisco and Gruss Air Spring Co. of America; by means of auxiliary time-recording device, this can be used as basis for determining speed with which absorber takes up shock.
