Present status of mail and passenger transportation by air and problems that still remain to be solved; passenger traffic by air just as different from air mail traffic as passenger traffic by railroad is different from transportation of freight, and very much more expensive because of greater and greater demands for safety; successful air passenger service demands better facilities for observing weather conditions; other commercial uses of airplanes.
