Study of cavitation erosion of propeller blades after 7 mo service; propeller was designed for single screw motor ship with engine output of 6800 shp at 110 rpm; comparison with tests in cavitation tunnel in homogeneous velocity field at Netherlands Ship Model Basin; proposal for obtaining freedom from cavitation on screw model by altering shape of curvature of blade profile on leading edge.
