Two fruit ships built and engined for Elders and Fyffes; length, b. p. 416 ft., breadth, molded 56 ft., displacement 10,500 tons, gross tonnage 5830, service speed 16 knots; four fruit decks provided; electrically driven refrigerating machinery; air-circulating system provides for 70 changes of air per hour; both vessels are provided with oil-fired Scotch boilers, steam pressure being 255 lb. per sq. in. gage, with 200 deg. fahr. of superheat; Todd oil-burning system is used.
