New garage is at Gillmoss, midway between Liverpool and Kirby, and serves to park 153 buses, arranged in herringbone fashion; depot is fronted by combined administrative and maintenance block; of 4 boilers in basement of block, 2 supply overall general heating to block and partial heating to men working in servicing building; third boiler is for domestic supplies and fourth feeds steam heating connections for radiator protection during cold weather at bus parking positions; traffic hall arrangements; other details.
