Review of progress made, missions envisaged, and resulting design requirements; fields of research associated with concept (propulsion, aerodynamics, control and guidance, temperature control, and environmental and ecological studies) are formulated; basic characteristics of European aerospace concept and possible solutions considering single- and multistage vehicles; coordination problems of such concept tied up with need for international effort are considered and funding allocated to various projects, associated with aerospace plane concept, are examined; European collaboration program and cumulative funding is suggested.
