It is suggested that supply of dehydrated fish might be developed to provide increased availability of protein; different methods of drying fish considered range from slow traditional "sun and wind method" to use of very fast mechanically operated drying tunnels; information is given on prototype drying tunnel at Torry Research Station, and design of distant water stern trawlers fitted with drying tunnels is considered.
