Effect of bending moment on free vibrations of thin-walled cylindrical shell is investigated by means of modified Donnell equation; experimental investigation was performed in conjunction with analysis; results indicate that, as bending moment increases, some frequencies increase in magnitude while others decrease which is contrary to results obtained for symmetric loadings.
