Deering, to be built for American Rolling Mills Co, Middletown, Ohio; length 190 ft; width 42 ft; propelled by three 1000-hp supercharged Diesel engines; to compensate for size of tug and proposed tow with reference to maneuverability, especially designed towing knee arrangement is incorporated; vessel will handle 15 barges, each 195 ft long and 35 ft wide; total capacity 18,000 short tons.
