New 1840-ft tunnel paralleling old tunnel which had collapsed, was constructed in 120 days to end shutdown of railroad line between Parkersburg and Clarksburg, W Va; several old tunnels were bypassed and others enlarged to eliminate restrictions caused to piggyback trains by 18 low tunnels.
