RX-2 suit, being evaluated by NASA, offers following advantages over soft suits--greater mobility, faster donning time, and use of 2-gas system, eliminating dangers of bend; suit is 2-piece, aluminum enclosure, fastened by doglock, such as that used in submarine hatches; shoulder, elbow and knee joints are described as "rolling convolutes", made of fabric and metal; ankle joint is cardonic section allowing movement on 2 axes; proposed use and improvements considered for post-Apollo missions.
