NTDS (Naval Tactical Data System) was developed by U S Navy as new command tool for implementing tactical combat direction in task forces, and is basically class of shipboard systems using modular equipment and computer programs to coordinate data collection, correlate data, process data for decisions, and communicate decisions to weapon systems; modular design concepts and unit computer concept; NTDS communications with respect to external and internal data transfer.
