Evaluation of special delineators at hazardous locations on Virginia highways; use of reflective panels eliminated two main causes of accidents: lack of adequate warning during day, and reduced visibility at night; records indicate reduction in accidents; major safety characteristic is shock value to fatigued driver by alerting him to approaching hazards.
