Skeleton, built by Short Brothers and Harland, England, provides advanced simulator for use in development of research aircraft; dynamic rig consists of frame work representing fuselage and mainplane in which appropriate components are mounted; it enables pilot to become familiar with control characteristics; also serves for actual functional testing of hydraulic, auto stabilizer, elevator power control and air nozzle systems.
