Notes on program announced by Howaldtswerke Hamburg AG, which involves workshops, new plate and profile stockyard and two large assembly sheds; further stage, not yet included, will deal with modernization of slipways; new drydock of 244,375 m length, 44.20 m beam and 45,000 tons lifting capacity under construction will handle ships of up to 135,000 tons dwc, will eventually be extended to 278.75 m length and will be available for use in 1965.
