Results of tests to appraise momentary shock of glare sources at various angles with line of vision; comparison source used was in line of vision and brightness of glare sources was increased until momentary shock was considered equal to that of comparison source; data gained enables extension of Holladay formula, providing means of assessing discomfort glare from sources not in line of vision.
