Tramway connects Boliden copper gold mine, in Vasterbotten district in Swedish Lapland, with Kristineberg region; highway transport costs became prohibitive; sketch map of ropeway route; design and construction details; contract was signed in Apr 1942 and on Apr 14 1943 first complete trip was made; when first cost has been written off, transport cost will have been reduced to 1/4 of that with trucks.
