Note on scheme contemplated by Allies during War for construction of ice structures which amounted, in fact, to conversion of artificial icebergs into aircraft carriers; conception depended upon form of reinforcing structure of ice and coating it with insulating skin to reduce melting effect of outside temperature; construction amounted to floating airdromes designed to be mobile and therefore classed as form of aircraft carrier.
