Harbor is handling over 4 1/2 million tons of cargo annually; it has total quayage of 9350 ft, of which 6420 ft has over 36 ft depth of water, and there is also dolphin tanker berth; harbor is equipped with necessary cargo sheds, rail, road and other services as well as 71 wharf cranes and modern mechanical equipment for handling cargo; paper covers actual construction methods used, and shows how some of difficulties, encountered in building various harbor structures, were overcome.
