Thornycroft and Co, at their Woolston Works, Southampton; length oa 37 ft; breadth 10 ft; draft 4 ft 3 in.; propelled by 4-cyl Thornycroft Diesel engine having cyl diam of 4 in. and stroke of 6 in.; developing 36 bhp at 1200 rpm, and 37 bhp at 1600 rpm.
