Account of elaborate series of trials carried out by Pennsylvania Railway on locomotive testing plant at Altoona, Pa, with idea of determining how greater or less degrees of superheat might be expected to influence locomotive performance; trials made with Pacific type passenger engine No. 877, Class K2sa, boiler being successfully fitted with modified superheater equipment.
