Adoption of comet head combustion chamber for new V-type high speed engine developed by Davey, Paxman and Co, Colchester, which has two banks of cylinders inclined to one another at 60° and is manufactured in 8, 10, 12 and 16-cyl units; first engine built was of 12-cyl type, and, after exhaustive trials, minor modifications were indicated; notes detailing these modifications; outline of drawing and photographs given.
