Comparison of basic types of tandem spring suspensions, namely, single-point, two-point, and three-point suspension; three-point, four-spring suspension, developed by Freightliner Corp, has definite advantages in drive line articulation and in frame loadings; importance of suspension articulation with reference to drive line spline slip is pointed out.
