Danbjorn, first of two ice-breakers contracted by Danish Ministry of Trade, Industry and Shipping, is nearing completion by Odense Steel Shipyard Ltd; length 75.3 m, maximum breadth on frame 17.3 m, depth to upper deck 9 m, maximum draft 6 ft; 6 B and W 12-cyl trunk-piston engines with cylinder diameter of 260 mm and piston stroke of 400 mm are fitted, and have total normal output of 9200 shp and maximum continuous output of 10,500 shp; plan.
