Dock under construction by Commission of Public Docks will provide berthing space for two ships on 1100-ft harbor face and for additional ship in slant slip which indents shore at angle some 23° off normal for distance of 640-ft; pier is generally 100-ft wide; all piles and timber are of pressure creosoted Douglas fir; pier consists of 39-ft outboard apron or deck and 61-ft inboard width which will be open deck.
