Recommendations for safe flight through storm are made on basis of results of Project Thunderstorm; in reviewing various " mechanical" hazards it is found that they are turbulence, lightning, hail, and icing; most prevalent danger in thunderstorm is mental hazard; reduction of mental strain upon pilot through enlightenment, proper training, and experience holds forth greatest promise for safe thunderstorm flying.
