Constructed at Musgrave Yard (Belfast) of Harland and Wolff, Ltd, for Norwegian Co, A/A Thor Dahl, of Sandefjord; length by 560 ft; breadth molded 77 ft; depth molded 56 ft; propelled by two single-acting, 4-stroke, 6-cyl Diesel engines, with diam of 740 mm and stroke of 1500 mm; vessel fully outfitted to act as mother ship for fleet of whaling ships and also as floating factory.
