Hawthorn, Leslie and Co, to order of Houlder Line, for trading between Plata River, Brazil, and United Kingdom Ports; length oa 480 ft; beam 65 ft 6 in.; constructed for carriage of chilled meat; insulated capacity 55,820 cu ft; propelled by twin screw, opposed piston, 2-stroke 4-cyl, Hawthorn-Doxford Diesel engines, with 6470-mm diam by 2320-mm combined stroke, developing 110 rpm.
