Sir Lancelot, built by John Lewis and Sons, Aberdeen in 1943, converted to fishery research vessel for Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries; vessel has length oa 138 ft; breadth 23 ft 6 in.; depth molded 12 ft 8 in.; propeling machinery consists of 2-cyl triple expansion engine with cylinders 12 1/2 in. × 21 in. × 35 in. diam and stroke of 26 in. and develops 600 ihp at 125 rpm.
