Nature and magnitude of loads repeatedly occurring in flight considered along with behavior and strength of aircraft under such loads; vibrations of wings and tailplanes appear likely to have serious effects on conventional structures to set period to life of airplane that is not remote from periods contemplated commercially; wide fluctuations and reversals of tailplane load may have equally serious effects.
