Review of circumstances of corrosion, particularly wet corrosion, with examples drawn from engineering practice; among latter are corrosion of pipes, tanks, cables, propellers, and reference is also made to protection of ships; aspects considered comprise effect of electrolytes, inhibitors, paint and metallic coatings, effect of oxygen, stray currents and cathodic protection, and specific types of corrosion.
