Logical format is suggested for analyzing and optimizing, on continuing basis, sub-systems which will combined to comprise submersible; decisions concerning sub-systems are based on laboratory R and D costs to meet set specifications, with environmental correction factors applied as sub-systems are made to operate under actual environmental conditions; mission profiles relate to situations concerning enemy, immobile sealed missile silos, bottom listening/navigation arrays, missile submarine, bedrock installation, bottom crawler mounted missile, and mobile bottom missile launcher.
