Paper presents operational experience with integrated launch vehicle, to be used as booster for Apollo manned lunar landing mission; emphasis is on NASA's management approach to solution of technical problems which include complexity of Apollo program, hardware and facilities, and lunar landing mission profile; launches to data are summarized, with emphasis on Saturn V; flight anomalies and corrective management action are pointed out together with appraisal of program to date and recommendations for future guidance.
