Reasonable approach to manned space flight problem would be first to determine when and where we may have hazard, and second to look at composition of hazard to see how it differs from other situations where we already have ample dose criteria; by identifying these differences, we will also have identified pivotal factors around which new criterion must be built; if this be case, these factors so identified must be taken into account in assessing status of research to determine radiobiological response criteria for space missions.
