Evaluation of properties and characteristics of limetreated soils and analysis of service conditions (stresses, displacements, durability) for lime-soil pavements layers indicate that lime-stabilized soils can be used for many road applications; quality of lime-soil mixture must be assessed prior to determining its use in modified subgrade, subbase, and base systems of road; tentative quality requirements, based on unconfined compressive strength, are presented for various usages.
