Prototype field tests of McNary, Jackson and Greenup locks are compared with results of hydraulic model studies; McNary lock on Columbia River is 86×675 ft long, has 92-ft maximum lift, and bottom lateral filling system; Jackson Lock on Tombigbee River is 110 ft wide by 670 ft long, has maximum lift of 34 ft, and has side port filling system; Greenup Lock on Ohio River is 110×600 ft long, has maximum lift of 32 ft and split lateral filling system.
