Factors which influence design and development of vehicles to give maximum freedom from dangerous skidding conditions; problems of front and rear-wheel skids and test results; characteristics of vehicles with either front or rear wheel drive, tires and road surfaces are considered; for optimum stability during processes of braking or cornering, vehicle must have low center of gravity, even distribution of braking and cornering forces and proportional weight on driving wheels; improvements in road surfaces are recommended.
