Houston's Intercontinental Airport, Jetero, designed to accommodate supersonic jet transports; runways, taxiways and other pavements are designed in concrete to withstand heavy loads, and passenger terminal has unique layout tailored to future traffic demands; runway contractor uses central mix paving and one-course placement of reinforcing steel (wire mesh), both rarities in Texas; costing 150 million, airport will start operating in 1967; details of plans for handling traffic of persons and planes.
