Details of Wallis gyroplane having tare weight of 234 lb; gross weight is 550 lb which allows for 150 lb for agricultural role load, and 40 min airborne; aircraft was designed for unlimited fatigue life and it provided encouraging strain-gage records in tests for military purposes; controls are virtually same, in layout and feel, as light aircraft; fixed-wing pilots can safely fly autogyro after only briefing; takeoff and landing performance; so far ultra-light autogyro is employed for crop dusting and spraying; other possible roles.
