Comparison of operating efficiency of airlines, in particular BOAC and BEA, compared with other leading world airlines; 7 different measures of operating efficiency were chosen for study of 15 leading world airlines, 12 biggest in terms of revenue and 3 others -- Finnair, Swissair and Qantas; 3-yr record (1960-1962) for each airline was assessed; source of all data was annual (1960, 1961 and 1962) statistical digests on traffic, finances, fleets and personnel of airlines as compiled and published by ICAO.
