Some 50 or 60 vessels, of 9200 tons deadweight capacity, to be equipped with Bauer-Wach or similar system reciprocating engine exhausting into turbine, and with high speed, double compound White reciprocating engine; majority of 20 motor tramp ships, identical in almost every way, being equipped with Doxford 3-cyl engines to develop 1800 or 2100 bhp; Doxford ships about 419 ft bp, with beam 54 ft 3 in., and depth 37 ft 6 in.
