Illustrated description of crane built by Cowans Sheldon and Co, Carlisle, for use on meter-gage section of railway; it is of self-propelling type, with lifting, derricking, slewing and traveling gears; in propped up position it is capable of lifting 35 tons at 18 ft radius; without aid of propping girders lifting capacity is 7 tons at same radius.
